An Acrostic In Time

Dealing with the first section from the British Council's Creative Ways, we discussed in our first session how to weave texts, comparing the writing process to the making of a piece of fabric. This is achieved by the combination of different elements around a central thread, and the thread we chose to develop our fabric turned out to be simply a word. A word around which the girls wove wonderful acrostics, remembering a very important skill in creative writing: Show, but don't tell. Enjoy.

A way to express yourself,
Romance could be its root,
Talent is not a rule.

Rainbows appear when it leaves,
Anger when it seems to come, however
Imagine life without its power
No life would survive.

Finally the week is over,
Reading and catching up
Is what I will do.
During the next two days
At least until Sunday
You won't hear of me.

Melisa González, Gala and Marianela

Rounded it is
In your finger you wear it.
No matter gold or silver,
Groom gives it to Bride.

María Eugenia and Cristina

Like butterflies in your stomach,
Only a few can feel it.
Vigorously expressing the feeling
Everyone suffers from it.
